PFAS
Our metals do not contain PFAS and therefore do not pose a risk of PFAS contamination.
What are PFAS?
PFAS is short for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and covers thousands of different synthetic substances.
The substances are water, oil and grease repellent and can withstand high heat. They are commonly used in surface treatments for a wide range of products, such as kitchenware. Perhaps the most well-known is Teflon.
Alumeco does not sell products with this type of coating, and therefore we can safely say that our products do not contain PFAS. However, we cannot guarantee that our customers do not add PFAS to our products after purchase.
